Glendavan house
Glendavan house is set in the heart of Royal Deeside was built as a shooting lodge in 1886, and is now appointed as a family home offering a very high standard of Accommodation.
The house stands in its own extensive grounds , 7 acres of woodland over looking Loch Davan in the heart of the Silver Jubilee nature Reserve . The Loch is a bird sanctuary where in Autumn and Spring thousand of Greylag Geese rest over on their annual migration.
The house is ideally situated as a base for exploring the Highlands .Activities which can be found in the local area include, Castle exploration, Hillwalking, Whisky trail, Snow skiing (seasonal) ,water skiing, golf ,hunting, shooting ,fishing, pony trekking, gliding (a glider flown from here holds the UK height record of 38000 ft.). Sea angling can also be arranged from Stonehaven.
The accommodation consists of , 4 double bedrooms, 2 single rooms, 2 smaller bedrooms (children's) .Upstairs there is a children's playroom ,downstairs there are 2 sitting rooms with wood burning stove ,music ,TV and Video centre and conservatory. There is also a large spacious kitchen and dinning room.
Rent is inclusive of 6 hours of domestic help per week and a generous amount of electricity and oil. All linen and towels are provided.
